“Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness.”

The joy is not in the trial, friends. The joy is in the steadfastness when it is produced. And in that space there’s no more fighting the Lord’s ways, and there’s simple trust in his plan, and steadfastness holds the certainty that the plans of man are inferior and temporary. God is in it to win it, for love, over the long haul.

Steadfastness is not dependent on an outcome. Steadfastness is present in any outcome.
